skinny choc shakeSkinny Chocolate Shake

So we are the typical family that loves a good burger, fries and milkshake.

And this is a super fun family meal to make together.

When I can, I love to upgrade our meals to be just a bit healthier. Such as buying grass fed beef, or local. Making our own fries from local potatoes and using coconut oil in the oven.

And lastly adding a yummy milkshake to wash it all down!

My kids love this. It’s a great step up from having a traditional milkshake. This one is loaded with nutritional goodness and you can add more ice and less liquid to make it thicker. Continue reading »

Small Consistent Steps Turn Into Big Positive Changes

One of my favorite books is The Compound Effect by Dan Hardy. In it, Dan describes how little, everyday decisions will either take you to the life you desire or to disaster by default.

This means even if you only do 10 pushups every day, at the end of the year, your body will benefit from 3650 pushups. Continue reading »

What is a belief?

  1. Your belief influences your perception of the world around you and your assessment of yourself.
  2. It is a mental acceptance of something as being true or real.
  3. A belief is something you tell yourself over and over again that soon you believe to be true.
  4. We have approximately 60,000 thoughts in a 24-hour period[1]. Interestingly enough, we continue to have most of these 60,000 thoughts day after day. These thoughts form your beliefs about who you are and where you are going. They ultimately become the habits in your life.

Your beliefs guide you when making your decisions. Continue reading »
