May is a month of gratitude and celebration of the feminine aspect of God –God the Mother who creates and nurtures all things including ourselves. The beauty of May draws us out of hibernation into a natural mindfulness of the blessing and abundance of nature. Gratitude and mindfulness are intimately related, for as we practice gratitude we become more aware, more present. We wake up.

In May our hearts remember what our minds sometimes forget —– LIFE IS A GIFT OF INESTIMABLE VALUE.  IT IS TIME TO UNWRAP THE GIFT.

In May the flowers are blossoming and the earth is greening.  The beauty of God runs riot in colours, fragrances, warmth and a dizzying plenitude of forms and species.  You awaken us cyclically from our sleep and bring forth every fruit in its season, the fruits of the earth and the fruits of our souls. Thank you for the life force that gives and nourishes life.
 Enjoy a personal meditation:

May you be at peace, May your heart remain open,
May you awaken to the light of your own true nature,
May you be healed, May you be a source of love and compassion to those around you. May you live in abundance. Continue reading »

Raw carrot juice is delicious and alkalizing for your body. Carrots are loaded with live enzymes, and carotenes that fight cancer, improve eyesight, and cleanse toxins from the liver. Excellent source of vitamins A, C, E and K and most of the B vitamins for a bonus! Carrots are rich in the alkaline-forming mineral calcium, which helps to strengthen your bones and teeth.

Carrot Juice  – Plain and Simple You can make yourself a plain carrot juice by putting some carrots through your juicer or spruce it up with some apples, lemons and ginger (my favourite). Explore your taste buds and treat them to deliciously fresh made juices.

Or try this recipe from Reboot with Joe.

Thirsty Thursday – Get your Vitamin C Booster Smoothie

Does this ever happen to you…. I sat down to type this blog and then I got sidetracked!!!

How did I get side tracked? My “busy mama” day unfolded like this….From clients, to classes, to tapping sessions, to picking up dog food, getting mail, going to the bank, making meatballs, getting dinner ready, looking at the empty granola jar knowing that I need to make more, to trying this smoothie so that I could taste test it first before I posted it – and it’s a good one, to dog walking, picking up a kid and going to the dentist, then hockey….and now…a week later….sitting here preparing this blog so that you can enjoy this fabulous smoothie packed with a punch of Goodness and loaded with Vitamin C.
