Green Smoothie Recipes
Fast and easy meals for when you are at home or on the go (mason jars are great travel containers!!) Change up your greens so that you keep the fresh taste and your taste buds wondering! Again, use the recipes, but then create your own. Get your Vita-mix and in 5 minutes you will have the most nutrient dense refreshing meal of your day!
Throw all of the ingredients in the Vita-mix and blend until your desired consistency!
2 handfuls ripped kale 1 peeled orange
2 stalks celery ¼ – ½ cucumber
½ peeled lemon 4 ice cubes & 1 cup water
2 handfuls of kale, collards greens, or Swiss chard
1 cup pineapple (fresh or frozen) 2 stalks celery
½ peeled lemon ½” pc fresh ginger, peeled
All Green Smoothie
½ c water ½ cup pineapple juice or ¼ of pineapple
1 ½ cups green grapes ¼ – ½ peeled and pitted avocado
1 broccoli floret ½ c fresh washed spinach
1 c ice cubes

Victoria Boutenko, author of Green for Life, explains the difference between a Vita mix and a blender wonderfully by stating, “ A Vitamix is a high speed blender because the speed goes up to 240mph. That means that their blades don’t even have to be sharp; even if they were just dull metal sticks they could still liquefy anything. In order to reach such performance, the Vitamix has a 2+ peak horsepower motor. Any other blender will blend the tough cellulose of greens only so long as its blades are sharp. However, when the blades become dull, they just move around the pieces and may overheat.”
