Ccabbageabbage Delight

 

I love the crunch of cabbage. Even though this dish is cooked, it’s not cooked too much that the cabbage loses it’s crunch. I enjoyed this with wild caught pacific salmon & avocado.

Cabbage contains glucosinolates and these sulfur compounds help bind and eliminate toxins in your cells. They also boost glutathione which is an antioxidant liver boosting nutrient. Your liver transforms waste so that it can be eliminated. Antioxidants provide damage control.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups purple cabbage, cubed
  • 1 small zucchini, cubed
  • 1 small cooking onion, cubed
  • 2 tbsps. Black sesame seeds, washed
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • ¼” piece of ginger, minced
  • 2-4 tbsps. Tamari
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice, optional

Directions

  • Place cabbage, zucchini, and onions in a wok style frying pan or pot.
  • Pour oil over the veggies and toss.
  • Cook for about 3-5 minutes. Add ginger and tamari and rice, if you are using.
  • Add black sesame seeds and stir.
  • Serve with salmon, chicken or eat on its own with a green salad, kimchi and avocado. Sprinkle some broccoli sprouts for a nutritional boost.
