SHAMROCK MINT CHIP SHAKE
I love mint!!! It grows in my garden and during the summer I will pick it and freeze it. I will either make Busy Mama Grab n’ Go Smoothie Packs or freeze it on it’s own.
That’s right, you can freeze any greens, check out how!
I love this smoothie any time of year but especially for St. Patrick’s Day! Enjoy this light, refreshing smoothie that will put a spring in your step!
- 1 ½ cups almond mylk, or make your own Almond Mylk
- 1-2 large frozen bananas
- 1 cup packed spinach
- ¼ cup packed mint leaves
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or powder (I love Giddy Yo Yo Vanilla Powder)
- 2 heaping tbsp raw cacao nibs and/or Juice Plus Whole Complete Chocolate Protein Powder (non-dairy, non-gmo, plant based, low glycemic and gluten free)Click here to order or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
- 1-3 tbsp Brain Octane or MCT oil (optional but remember your brain is 60% fat)
Blend everything EXCEPT cacao nibs, until smooth. Add cacao nibs at the very end and blend briefly, if you like your smoothie to have some texture. I find that they get stuck in my straw so I put them in at the beginning.
If using Busy Mama Grab n’ Go Shamrock Mint, take it out of the freezer and add the almond mylk, almond butter, vanilla. If you like it with some texture you can leave the nibs until the end and blend for about 5-10 seconds. If you like a smooth smoothie, put the nibs in at the beginning and blend. You can also make almond butter, powdered vanilla, cacao nib cubes. Mix the ingredients with some almond milk to make a paste and them freeze them in ice cube trays. Pop out when frozen and add to Busy Mama Grab n’ Go Shamrock Mint packs.
