How To Make A Busy Mama Grab N’ Go Smoothie Pack

Grab n go ShamrockJust when you thought making smoothies couldn’t get any easier!!

  1. Find a recipe you like such as the Basic Green Smoothie or Shamrock Mint Shake and buy the ingredients.
  2. Buy freezer bags with a spot to write the Smoothie Name and any other instructions you may need.
  3. Put the dry ingredients of the smoothie into the freezer bag. You can make flax cubes and almond butter cubes too or you can add these ingredients when you make the smoothie.
  4. Seal it up and freeze it. Make as many Busy Mama Grab n’ Go Smoothie Packs as you’d like. They will last up to 3 months in the freezer.
  5. When you are ready to make a smoothie. Take it out of the freezer, put it in your blender or Vitamix with the remaining ingredients. Blend and serve. Delicious.
  6. You can also make your own flax/chia cubes (pictured here) or Almond Butter, vanilla, cacao nib cubes.

Releasing My Sugar Shame

Once upon a time I would go and buy 4 Snickers bars and eat them all at once and then I would work out on the treadmill to try and get rid of the disgust and calories that I had for myself.

Other times when my husband and children would leave the house and I would start baking cookies. I would eat the batter, then eat all of the cookies while making banana bread and then eat that too. Getting off the Sugar

This is one of the most frequently asked questions I am asked. How can I stop eating sugar?

Many people think because they are not eating “candy” that they are not eating sugar. That’s not TRUE. Sugar lurks everywhere and we are eating & drinking way too much of it.

Besides the obvious – sugar and anything ending in “ose” or artificial sweeteners or anything sweet (expect stevia – which is an herb). You’re an intelligent person – you know where sugar is!!! Breads, pasta, juice, pop, alcohol, pastries, muffins, packaged & prepared foods, oatmeal, chips, potatoes, some fruits and veggies, condiments and on & on (just in case I left any out).
