We want those TOXINS O-U-T, out

 Full moon=replenishment=minerals in ->Sunday January 24, 2016

Every Full moon represents an energetic peak, which shines a powerful light on whatever is coming full-circle in your Life. Take this time to ground yourself, disengage from drama and restore your zest for life.

During the full moon the body will more readily absorb minerals and heal. You can work with these natural rhythms of the moon to optimize which results you want.

The waxing moon and full moon are times when things are birthing and coming to fruition while the waning moon is a releasing moon.

Prepare yourself for Sunday January 24- this is the day your body really absorbs what you put it in ….real living food or dead processed food…choose wisely today!

What will you do on Sunday to assist the detoxing of your cells?

  • Start the day with water, detox lemonade, herbal tea, green juice drink, detox broth
  • Have homemade juices/detox broth throughout the day or very light meals
  • Dry Brush before your shower or upon rising

The skin is responsible for eliminating 1/3 of the body’s waste everyday – that can equal up to one pound!!! A super fast and effective way it to add dry brushing to your shower/bath routine.

dry brushesDry Brushing

Whether you use a natural bristle brush, a dry brushing mitt, a cheap loofah glove (I’ve tried them all and have finally found the VERY BEST from Living Libations which all my clients love as well), give your body a scrub and:

  • Loosen the dead cells to allow the toxins a quick and clear exit out of your skin!
  • Leave your skin SOFT and GLOWING
  • Reduce CELLULITE
  • Stimulate your immune system
  • Wake up your circulation
  • Move your lymph
  • And so much more!

Start at your feet and work up to your chest, then work down from your head and neck to your chest. The key is to make it FUN and a part of your day! Then jump in the shower or bath!

logo123When it comes to Dry Brushing, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Living Libations. I use their dry brushes and lymph+ tonic as part of my routine before jumping in the shower or bath. Recently I have started to also dry brush upon rising – it just feels so good!

Detox Bath

While dry brushing, pour yourself a hot water bath with one-two cups of Epsom salts (or more) and ½- 2 cups of non-aluminum baking soda.

Soak for 20-40 minutes with lights dimmed, perhaps a candle for added relaxation and soft music to drown out any “mama calling from your kids or husband”

For an added cleansing effect, drink a cup of peppermint tea before the bath to promote the release of toxins or even add it to your bath along with soothing essential oils like lavender or chamomile.

Why Epsom Salts & Baking Soda?

  • Safe, natural, non-toxic traditional remedies used to improve well-being
  • Believed to cleanse and purify the body
  • Relieve joint pain and slow down the aging process
  • Epsom salts provide the body with much needed magnesium and sulfates
  • Baking soda neutralizes acids (meats, sugar, processed foods, alcohol, medication, etc.) and promotes the elimination of toxins leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed, not to mention your skin will be oh so soft!

Note: If you are TOXIC, and those nasties are trying to escape your mama cells, you might be dizzy after your bath…so get up gently and take some deep cleansing breaths!

FYI on sulfates….they disinfect your blood and flush toxins O-U-T of your cells. They are also necessary for the synthesis of new collagen…you got it…gives you healthier, younger looking MAMA skin!!!

Go get your Epsom Salts!!!

Other detox bath ideas that you can explore….

  • Austrian Moor Mud – nature’s most potent healing compounds
  • Himalayan Salt
  • Organic Seaweed – help delay aging process
  • Add ginger or ginger tea to further sweat those toxins out (can add to Epsom/baking soda)
  • Add fresh herbs – mint warms you, lavender and chamomile soothe you, explore and find what suits your mood
  • Bentonite clay – fast detox method
  • Raw Apple Cider Vinegar – super helpful when you need to restore the acid/alkaline balance back to your body

Madeleine Marentette from Grail Springs in Bancroft (great place) has written a book, Grail Springs Holistic Detox for Body, Mind and Spirit, and I love her advice about detoxing with the cycle of the moon.

If you can manage to follow this you may deepen your detox even more, here is what she writes in her book…The rhythm of a new moon supports weight loss and detoxification.

Google the moon cycles and then add the dates into your day timer and see if you can follow her advice.  If not, any time you can have a detox bath, jump in!

Full moon=replenishment=minerals in ->Monday February 22nd, 2016

New moon = detox = toxins OUT -> Monday February 8th, 2016

During the full moon the body will more readily absorb minerals and heal. You can work with these natural rhythms of the moon to optimize which results you want.

According to Sarah Best’s article, “How to Get the Most out of your Detox”, a complete circuit from one full moon to the next takes a month and is divided into two roughly 14-day phases: waxing moon and waning moon, the latter being the best time for detoxing. If this sounds bizarre to you, consider that the gravitational pull of the moon governs the tides of the planet’s oceans and has done since the beginning of time. When we remember this, it is not such a leap to accept that this same force exerts a powerful influence on the flow of fluids into and out of our cells.

In the words of Johanna Paungger and Thomas Poppe in their book Moon Time: “The waning moon detoxifies and washes out, sweats out and breathes out, dries, consolidates, prompts to action and the expenditure of energy.” During the waxing moon, conversely, the body is better at taking in than it is at letting go. Whenever you have any choice in the matter – i.e. unless a health crisis means you must start immediately – always schedule your longer detoxes to happen when the moon is waning. You will get much better results.

Facial Brush

This facial brush has soft bristles suitable for gentle brushing the face, neck and décolleté. Dry brush before cleansing and moisturizing with Seabuckthorn or Rose Best Skin Ever afterwards. Or coconut oil is another of my favorites!

Body and Breast Brush

This brush is the perfect size and texture to dry-brush the body and more delicate breasts. Dry Brush with one drop of our Lymph Tonic on the bristles. Follow with a bath, sauna or shower and then glide the Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever and/or Breast Massage Oil for radiant, healthy skin. Check out a great way to care for your breasts

Energy Brush

This energy brush uses fine bronze bristles made of a sensible alloy of copper and zinc. Due to the molecular structure of these fine bronze bristles, the ions which are important for our material and energetic well-being are generated directly on the skin, which makes them immediately available to the organism and the metabolism.

The central atom of the human body is oxygen, which makes up more than 80 percent of our organism. Our true elixir of life consists of the energetically charged oxygen ions which we take in from the air we breathe, the water we drink or in an especially concentrated form from hydrogen peroxide. This substance is also contained in the sea coast, waterfalls, rain and snow. These important negatively charged oxygen ions are created by air friction whilst using this Energy Brush for dry- brushing our skin.

Our Lymph system responds favorably to the gentle, circulation generating effects of essential oils. One of the best things for the Lymph system is dry-brushing (especially in the colder seasons). To activate dry brushing to its fullest potential, add one drop of Lymph+Tonic to the palm of your hand and glide the brush across your palm to apply the essence to each bristle, then begin dry brushing your entire body. Always brush in the direction toward the heart. Dry Brushing this way stimulates the endocrine, circulation, immune, and detoxifying systems.

Lymphatic fluid exists close to the surface of the skin and bathes all of the cells of the body with oxygen and nutrients. A happy lymphatic system helps support healthy overall immune response and circulation. Lymph does not have a pump like blood does with the heart. Lymph is filtered in the lymph nodes and then re-circulated into the bloodstream. Interestingly, swollen lymph nodes are the body’s way of transforming an infection. So the lymph system has the important function of bringing in nourishment and carrying out wastes and toxins. Use Lymph+Tonic regularly to support this very vital body system. Dry-brushing, exercise, breathing, hot/cold plunges, and proper hydration will also help to sustain a healthy lymphatic system.

For generating Lymphatic flow, pour 1-2 drops of Lymph+Tonic on the palm of your hand; glide a dry brush across your palm, then use for dry brushing the body. This tonic may also be used in massages, body oils and baths.

Enjoy adding this to your bathing routine.

Caring for your breasts with Breast Health Massage Oil

I have been using the Breast Health Massage Oil from Living Libations for almost a year.  I absolutely love that I am taking a simple step to keep my breasts healthy.

By simply applying a few drops to my palms and then massaging around and on my breasts I am stimulating the circulation & lymph drainage thereby regenerating the movement of fluids in and to my breasts.

breast_oil_small

About your breasts & the massage oil:

ü  Cells in our breasts can regenerate.

ü  The skin on the chest is thin and breast tissue contains a great deal of fat, which readily absorbs the protective blessings of lipophilic essential oils and infused-herbal oils. Working synergistically, these botanicals may

  •  prevent and reverse cysts,
  • rejuvenate cells, and
  • increase immune cell activity.
  • Several essential oils show promise in preventing or reversing imbalances that accumulate in adipose and lymph tissue.

ü  Breasts contain an abundance of lymph vessels that support the circulatory system in maintaining proper fluid balance.

ü  The health of our lymphatic systems is intimately connected to our breast health.

  • Lymphatic flow can be obstructed by tight bras, poor posture, lack of exercise, shallow breathing, and tight neck, shoulder, chest and back muscles.

The Breast Health Oil contains cypress, yarrow and laurel oils which generate the movement of the fluid that removes toxins and supplies fresh nutrition to the cells. Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt, the author of Advanced Aromatherapy, stated that simply “rubbing a few drops of bay laurel on swollen lymph nodes may have an immediate, noticeable effect.”

Massage encourages the body to:

  • release excess stored estrogen
  • move debris-fluid away from the spaces between cells
  • and return the fluid to the bloodstream to be eliminated.
  • Over time, massaging the breasts may also enhance the elasticity of the ligaments in the chest providing improved breast support.

How to apply Breast Health Oil and Massage your Breasts

  • Our breast tissue extends from the breastbone in the center of the chest to the underarms and from below the collarbone down to the sixth or seventh rib.
  • Put 1-2 drops of Breast Health Oil on each hand and place your hands under the breasts.
  • Massage inward and upward in a circular motion, slowly covering the entire chest.
  • Use this time to become familiar with how your breasts feel.

Breast Health Oil Ingredients: Broccoli Seed Oil, Cumin Seed Oil, Calendula Oil, Saint John’s Wort Blossom Oil infused in Organic Olive Oil, Frankincense, Grapefruit, Rose Otto, Laurel, Cypress, Yarrow, Ylang Ylang, and Chamomile essential oils

Additional healthy breast practices include:

dry brushes

  • dry brushing with Lymph Tonic
  • ensuring sufficient intake of dietary iodine and magnesium
  • creating healthy intestinal flora with fermented foods and probiotics
  • avoiding aluminum
