I love this drink when I want to feel refreshed and nourished. Cucumbers contain silica which is known as the “beauty mineral”. So if you’d like to strengthen your connective tissues (tighter younger looking skin, stronger nails) of the skin, hair and nails, then this is your drink!!!

Raw carrot juice is delicious and alkalizing for your body. Carrots are loaded with live enzymes, and carotenes that fight cancer, improve eyesight, and cleanse toxins from the liver. Excellent source of vitamins A, C, E and K and most of the B vitamins for a bonus! Carrots are rich in the alkaline-forming mineral calcium, which helps to strengthen your bones and teeth.

Carrot Juice  – Plain and Simple You can make yourself a plain carrot juice by putting some carrots through your juicer or spruce it up with some apples, lemons and ginger (my favourite). Explore your taste buds and treat them to deliciously fresh made juices.

The Morning Kicker

Cheers to a Healthy Day!

Glen and I have been having this variation for breakfast since 2008. It gets you going in more ways than one!

Fresh juices filled with chlorophyll from green-leafy foods (celery, parsley, spinach, kale etc) and fruits (apples, pears etc) are a wonderful way to begin and maintain a beautiful body for a lifetime. The habit of drinking fresh vegetable juices daily is probably the fastest way to transform your body. I know that it helped clear up my bronchitis and phlegm issues and also gave me so much more energy!

Your FRESH ingredients!

2 apples, chopped in quarters

1 cucumber, chop in half

handful of celery

handful of Swiss chard, collard greens or kale or all of them

Parsley (if you have it on hand)

1/2 “ piece of peeled ginger

1 lemon, peeled

Put it through your juicer (I use the Jack LaLanne for this) and drink up! You won’t believe how refreshed and energetic you feel. Use organic and local produce when possible. Use more apples if you need to sweeten it up.

TIP: Put the leafy greens in followed by some apple, then celery, then cucumbers and repeat until all leafy greens are gone (this helps to not clog it up and I’m all about speed in the morning!). Put the ginger in and finish off with the lemon.

Ginger: used to treat indigestion, gas, stomach cramps, nausea, motion sickness, inflammation, circulation, colds, flus and coughs.

Parsley: Its high Vitamin C content makes parsley an excellent immune builder. It improves kidney activity and helps eliminate waste from the blood. Parsley has been used to relieve gas, indigestion, bladder issues and fluid retention.

Juicing: Quickens the digestive process and delivers nutrients more quickly to your bloodstream.

Just waiting to be consumed:)
