Why Your Waist Circumference Matters 100x More Than What You Weigh

It can be too easy to think (or worry) about your weight.

 

But you know what?  There is something else that may be more important when it comes to real health.  That is your waist circumference.

 

Ahh, just a minute!  It’s not just about the “pinchable” fat under the skin (you know, that “muffin top”), it’s about the internal fat around your abdominal organs that can be the real issue.

 

That internal fat (AKA “visceral fat”) is known to release a bunch of hormones and inflammatory compounds that can mess with your blood sugar, blood fats (i.e triglycerides), and blood pressure.

water_glassHydration — Plain and simple, we need water!!! Start your day with a big glass of water and follow it up with a detox lemonade (water and lemon)

Many minor maladies such as headaches, fatigue, muscle cramps and even depression can be related to your hydration levels.  WOW – water is powerful!!

 

Keep your body hydrated with green  and herbal teas, water, coconut water but leave the nasties out of your body like alcohol, caffeine, sodas, store bought juices…you don’t need your cells floating around in artificial colours, flavours, preservatives…keep your choices CLEAN.

Stress – Breath, chill, take a moment, be in the moment, relax, step back & laugh. Stress can cause a buildup of toxins in your body which can be very dangerous. Even minor daily activities like commuting, finances and relationships cause us stress.  Seek out ways to reduce stress in your life and take counter measures to reduce them.
