It’s a Cheat Day
I’m on a Diet
I Can’t do that
This is Hard”
Any of them sound familiar?
Everything starts as a thought. EVERYTHING, from the desk you are sitting at, to the car that you drive, to the dinner you will serve tonight. What you think, you cause to appear in your life.
You are always planting thought seeds and they will grow, some now, some next week, others in a year. Your mind is a complex machine and you need to be aware of the language of your thoughts as they are the life you are living today.
Why can’t you have THAT?
You can but it may make you feel less energetic, bloated, it may conflict with your long term goal, etc. The thing is, you can have it; but you may choose not to have it…very different thought process. Lack vs. Abundance.
If so, you are caught in the DIET trap. Adopting a healthy lifestyle frees you from start and end dates. It is a process. It is about making small changes that stick today and every day. Remember your amygdala (commit to teeny tiny changes). Don’t know about your amygdala and its power – google it or join the Busy Mama Detox to diffuse it.
That’s bad for me. Is it?
There are healthier food choices than others but to label foods this way is part of the diet mentality and it also puts negative energy into your food choice. If you only eat bananas, it can become an unhealthy choice because you are not eating a variety of healthy foods, but bananas are good for you. People label all “Fat” as bad, but without the healthy fats, you’d be dead (little extreme but you get the point), and with too much fat (and especially the wrong kind) you can be unhealthy.
When you eat something that’s not a 10/10 on the nutrition scale but you really want it, eat it (just not every day all the time). Embrace it with joy, eat it with love, don’t smoother it with guilt.
I can’t do THAT? This is HARD.
Why, what’s holding you back from doing what you want…dig a little deeper and find out. You deserve what you want…do you know what you want?
We THRIVE with Rules, not a lot but we do like them! They help with structure, with flow, and ease of routine. They become your habits. What are your rules?
Here are some of my Simple EVERY DAY Rules that may help with your success:
Water upon rising Detox lemonade
Juice or smoothie for breakfast Salad or veggies before or as my meal
Move my body Healthy fats with my meals
Connect with my breath
Notice the choices that I make and the consequences. Realize if I want to keep repeating the consequences, if not, then change the choice!
Were these always my rules….NO….but I can honestly say that in my mid 40’s I feel better than I ever have. I am rarely bloated, I have sooooo much energy, I’m happy, light, I feel a sense of freedom, my moods are softer, and I have more patience just to mention a few. I truly believe with every cell in my body that it’s because of the thoughts of wanting to live the healthiest life possible with an abundance of energy. I want to THRIVE as I get older. Those thoughts translate into fueling my body with food infused with love (homemade), health (energetic) and gratitude. I move my body because it feels good and I want to always be able to MOVE. I work out my hands, fingers, feet and toes as much as I do my abs.
