Water….…5 ways to keep you lean

 

Too often we sip, gulp or guzzle too many liquid calories that can show up as an added layer of insulation – which is not what we want when we are donning skinny jeans, bathing suits, tank tops and cute shorts and skirts!

Not to mention that store bought flavoured water can be loaded with artificial flavours, nasty additives and sweeteners.  Making your own is simple, fresh and nutritious.  Use the abundance of the local produce to try different combinations and let me know which one you love the best!

 So, fill up your water jug and try these great additions!

1.  Add lemon and mint.  Why is lemon so good for you…check this out

2.  Add grapefruit (peel off), lemon, mint and cucumber…

Why grapefruit?

  • Low in calories and tasty
  • Good source of potassium, Vitamin C, folic acid and phytochemicals
  • Rich in cancer fighting chemicals and lowers cholesterol
  • Some even say that it helps to reduce cellulite!

3.  Add lemon, parsley and mint….want another great drink using parsley…Elvis Parsley…Get your Groove ON!!

4.  Add raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) and a touch of honey or a few drops of Stevia if needed.  Another use for ACV…Avocado, Pear Walnut dressing

5.  Add Chia seeds …….why can these tiny seeds help you lose weight, click here
