Why, should you even bother?
Unfortunately most commercial toothpastes have nasty chemicals lurking in them???
And then you ingest them.
Remember all the stuff I’ve been talking about when it comes to toxins and how your fat cells then encapsulate the toxins?
Well, here is another area that you can start to make toxin free and shrink those peesky suckers.
So, I was riding with some girlfriends to a Microbiome Presentation on a Friday night, boy have times changed – lol!!!
And we started to talk about teeth.
They said to me, “Tanya, we thought you’d gone crazy when you were telling us about your new teeth routine years ago.”
But now they’re doing it!!!
All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed.

I didn’t make my own toothpaste, but you can. Food Matters has a homemade toothpaste recipe that will get you started in the right direction!
I love using Living Libations natural toothpaste products made with lots of LOVE!! My teeth have never been whiter and brighter – move over George Hamilton!!!
When I first started using Living Libations products a few years ago I went through a stage where my teeth actually looked more stained but what I learned is that with the oil pulling that I was doing and the new routine it was actually pulling the stains from my teeth and now – PRESTO – even my husband is amazed!!!
Even more important, according to my dentist, is that my gum recession has stopped and even improved on a few teeth. However, they were not entirely thrilled that I wasn’t using a “dentist recommended” toothpaste.
I also don’t need my teeth polished at the dentist office so I saved a few bucks and I skip the fluoride treatment for many reasons – but you can be the detective for that topic.
Over the years my teeth have stopped bleeding. I have tighten gum pockets – or whatever the technical term is!!
My dental routine 80% of the time:
1) Upon rising swish with salt water for as long as I can without my husband or children needing an answer from me! I flip flop this with oil pulling because, let’s be honest it can be hard to fit both of these in on the same day! Also, if I forget to do it in the morning, I will oil pull (1 tsp of sesame seed oil) or rinse with salt water while I am walking our dogs in our fields.
2) Brush with my Soladey toothbrush with Frankincense Fresh Truth Toothpaste from Living Libations
3) Apply a thin coating of Ozonated Healthy Gum Gel
4) In the evening, I do the same thing as above but I also add the Sulcabrush that I put the Healthy Gum Drops on and polish my teeth around the gum lines.
What about the Kids???
My kids are 10 and 11 and are being handed commercial toothpaste everywhere I turn! It’s not always easy to go against what the “normal” or “majority” of the population are currently doing, so I just do my best! They sway back and forth between commercial toothpaste and the natural ones I buy. They have a haphazard flossing routine and I apply the Wild Child Healthy Gums as often as I can. We keep healthy food choices in our house so that we can reduce the bacteria as much as possible. I have learned a great deal from reading Nadine’s book, “Successful Self-Dentistry“and will continue to best educate myself and my children about our wonderful teeth. I mentioned to them that if they spent the same amount of time on their teeth as their hair, they will have them for the rest of their life!!!!
